SPOKO Integrators Ltd. provided complete Safety Systems for multiple automobile floor carpet presses. To guarantee a safe environment with limited system stoppage, we have developed a solution with the use of 6 Laser Safety Scanners at each operator stations and networked Safety Programmable Controller with distributed Safety I/O. Two of the scanners acted as vertical access screens (similar in function to Light Curtain with the added functionality of 2 independent safety zones each) and remaining 4 scanners constantly monitored the horizontal plane parallel to the floor within the working cell to ensure no one is in the station. This safety system had two independent zones, thus allowing each press to work independently of one another.
